Shoutouts:
The SilverlightShow folks sent me their top 5 from last week:
Ward Bell has a survey up that he'd like everyone to take part in:
SilverlightShow is giving away a free pass to some training... check out the rules:
From:
Chris Rouw details a reusable solution to a problem his team faced in a multi-screen LOB app where all the screens have the same requirement of controls being locked until 'Edit' is pressed.
Kevin Dockx has a two-part series up at SilverlightShow on WCF RIA Services... discussing the collection types... this first post is EntitySet and EntityList
One day later, SilverlightShow pushed part 2 of Kevin Dockx's series on WCF RIA Services collection types... this part is all about ICollectionView and DomainCollectionView
WindowsPhoneGeek's latest post is on the Coding4Fun ColorPicker... in the style we've come to expect... great detail... screenshots... everything you want/need to know.
Jesse Liberty continues his Rx excursion with this post on Hot and Cold Observables...
Jeremy Likness's latest post is up and he's working on an idea of beginning at the end... the look/feel of the interface, and works backwards from there, hence 'Fluent Backwards'
I know not everyone has the Telerik controls, but you can get a free trial, and this is a great tutorial series from the Telerik Phone Team on building a very useful WP7 app...
I'm highlighting two more of Mike Taulty's Silverlight 5 Beta 'Rough Note's... first is on on linked RichTextBoxes... that's the very cool idea of spilling from one RichTextBox to the next
Mike Taulty's next 'Rough Note' (at least in the order I'm taking them) is this one about the Composition Thread and the 3D enhancements... he's got some great graphics and good explanation and demos going on here.
Pete Brown has a post up discussing Silverlight 5 Beta's Implicit Templates... a welcome feature that WPF has had and everyone has been waiting for
My buddy András Velvárt has a stupendous BingMaps/Kinect app up... check out the video at the bottom of the post first, then read the lead-in on the project... too cool!
Stay in the 'Light!
