From:
Michael Washington combines his two favorite subjects in this post. In his normal very- detailed tutorial manner, he demonstrates deploying a Lightswitch app as a DotNetNuke module... if you're running Windows 7... be sure to read the final sentence.
Morten Nielsen wished for a 'RefreshBox' in WP7 that he was used to with the iPhone, so he went about building one and shares the code with us... check out the video at the bottom of the post to see it in action.
John Garland discusses a somewhat overlooked announcement at MIX11 -- the Async CTP has a go-live license, and it also includes support for WP7... and he includes some example code.
Bil Simser is discussing the MediaWiki API and using it to browse Wikipedia using JSON in a WP7 app... lots of links and explanation included.
Not sure how I've been missing Adam Nathan's blog... but I've got it on my list now... you guys need to *tell me* stuff I'm missing!:)... his latest post is a great diagram-filled discussion of the Hardware Back Button and how to get your app certifiied... based on his own attempts and final success.
András Velvárt's 2nd MIX11 walk-around video interview is up with my buddy Tony Champion and yours truly... Tony's a smart and interesting guy... don't pay attention to the old guy:)... and thanks for the shout-out, my friend!
WindowsPhoneGeek has a 3 post series up on 'Building WP7 Custom Validation Control'... this first part is about the idea of the control... the architecture and basic prototype.
Sidestepping his series, WindowsPhoneGeek's next post is on the Coding4fun Toolkit's PassworkInputPrompt... done up in the style he's been doing the rest of these... everything you need to know... code snippets and diagrams.
It's good to see Jesse Liberty's blog back without that nasty virus page popping up at random... stepping back a couple weeks I find a post on LINQ, and LinqPad, if you aren't already familiar with it.
Jesse Liberty's next post is on Tombstoning while not straying off the MVVM sidewalk... and he cautions that this is a first cut and might not be the best...
Martin Krüger offers up a 'SilverLawHyperlinkButton'... a custom control that has a visual element indicating the hyperlink selection when focus shifts away... run his example to see it in action. All code and diagrams is available in the Expression Gallery.
Damon Payne is discussing Silverlight 5's ICustomTypeProvider for two-way binding to dictionaries. This'll be pretty useful for me with the localization I'm doing.
Xianzhong Zhu has a WP7 post up discussing Sqlite, an open source embedded database system that now has a WP7 Client... check out the post for the Codeplex link and some programming hints.
Stay in the 'Light!
