Shoutouts:
The tool Mike Ormond discussed in a post listed below is by Cory Smith
DiscountASP.NET has a post up about the latest SQL Injection attack going around... you should check your sites:
Karl Shifflett announced... and he has lots of follow-on posts about it as well.
From:
Michael Crump has Part 3 of his WP7 and OData Tutorial Trilogy up at SilverlightShow... this third part finally gets into the WP7 side of things.
Jeremy Likness has an interesting discussion about scaling and anti-aliasing in Silverlight... this is pretty interesting and has been around for a while... check out Jeremy's solution.
Matthew Delisle has the 3rd part in a series on creating a Leader board service for WP7 up.... if you're building WP7 games, you might want to check out this series... with code.
Xianzhong Zhu has Part 3 of his series on WP7 programming up at DotNetSlackers... this episode is on reading XML data... nice long code and description-filled tutorial.
Nigel Sampson is showing creating one-time event handlers then building extension methods to use them to create callbacks, and use them with animations and VSM
Jeff Prosise's WP7 tip number 4 is about launching a debug run of your app on a device rather than in the emulator... in case you didn't know you could do that already!
Jeff Prosise also has part 3 of his Tombstoning WP7 series up... he walks you through in debug in the application he built for this series to demonstrate the problem so that we could work our way out of it.
Andrea Boschin has another follow-on post on Rx, discussing combining Observables and extension methods made to combine two or more streams.
You need good screenshots of your app for the marketplace, but how to get them? We've seen at least one good shot at this, but Mike Ormond highlights a tool by Cory Smith that grabs screenshots for you... follow Mike's instructions.
I couldn't find a write-up on this on Jeff Wilcox's blog, but on March 31st, AgFx went beta on CodePlex as a framework for building WP7 apps... check out the feature list and grab the download.
Bil Simser has quite a piece of software for WP7 folks... IIS Express and Sharepoint Server 2007... no, really! You'll have to check out to see what's missing, but there's some fun WP7 specific things as well.
Stay in the 'Light!
