Shoutouts:
Ian Griffiths announced free Silverlight Printing Video training at PluralSight until Sunday.
From:
John Papa has Yavor Georgiev on Silverlight TV this week discussing WCF, and since Yavor works on that team, he knows what he's talking about!
John McFetridge has the first 3 parts of a 5-part tutorial series on building a WP7 Stock Quoting application at SilverlightShow. This first one is on the UX and data access. Following that are 2), and 3).
Andy Schwam has a great post up on what to do with that data you've conveniently 'dropped' into a grid... cosmetically it looks great, but whoa, what about the actual data aspect of it all??
Tim Heuer was playing around with the CameraCaptureTask on WP7 and came up with a work-around for the natural tendency for all photos to come out landscape.
In response to the earthquake recently in New Zealand, Nigel Sampson built a WP7 app to plot the quake and it's aftershocks as a demo of using Bing maps on WP7.
Nigel Sampson's next WP7 app is a GPS app that answers the question "Where am I?"...
The third Nigel Sampson post I'm listing tonight is demonstrating the use of the accelerometer... effectively turning the WP7 into a level.
Shawn Wildermuth gives some pretty good detail on the application he's training with for WP7... should be good for anyone thinking about taking the training... get them all fired-up to learn with Shawn!
Dave Relyea takes a unique look at the WP7 Panorama and figured out a way to put some XAML in there... definitely worth a try!
Jesse Liberty has a great post up on the WP7 Application Lifecycle... including an app to help drive the points home...if you're doing any WP7 work... this is one to get your head around.
Sigurd Snørteland has two more WP7 games up... and both are winners: Chess and 'shock'... a breakout-like game...
Stay in the 'Light!
