Shoutouts:
Jesse Liberty has a post up... so give him a hand!
Mike Henderlight posted a message on the Windows Phone Forums: What's on your controls wish list?... I'm sure he's going to get an earful:)
Eric Ligman put up an announcement: Announcing Expression Encoder 4 Pro availability for redistribution!
Pete Brown anounced a discount code for his book Silverlight 4 in Action... and I think it's a great book... I've been in the MEAP and reading it as it was being written... and the code is: dotd0910tw... if that doesn't work, try dotd0910 -- I saw another post with that code
Dark Genesis is instructing a new WP7 webcast from AT&T:
Rob Houweling posted about a new release of SLSharpZipLib for Silverlight 3, 4 and Windows Phone 7
From:
I like this... Szilárd Szakács has a post up about importing yourowndangdata into Expression Blend for use in SketchFlow or whatever... oh, from Excel... and he uses a site called to help out along the way... that one is getting linked in the sidebar at WynApse.com, thanks:)
Michael Washington continues with Lightswitch - this post is on displaying just a screen of data, not associated with a Table as is the norm... also using authentication... all the source and external links too.
Mike Taulty takes a long look at the Control side of the Pivot Control in this post... features, properties, and the customizations individual developers can do on the same set of data.
Mike Taulty also has another Blend Bits post up, concentrating on Resources: making new ones, putting them in a dictionary, and using them.
Chris Koenig updated his WP7 demo app to use DataServiceCollection... not heard of it? check out his code...
Tim Heuer discusses Seesmic, and its origins then offers up some plugins he's written and some VS2010 templates also... how cool is that??
Kranthi Kiran Gullapalli has not only a description plus code of communicating between two user controls, but he also has a live demo up.
David Anson uses his DeferredLoadListBox with the StackPanel to get some list scrolling goodness going on in a WP7 app.
Mohamed Mosallem has number 8 of his Silverlight 4 tutorials and is discussing Fluid Layouts, using Blend for state transitions.
Michael Crump has a great MVVM tutorial up by starting from File->New Project and only external element is Josh Smith's RelayCommand code... easy to read and good instruction.
Let an expert walk you through using VS2010 to build your Silverlight apps... Dan Wahlin goes through many of the normal things you need to do inside the Silverlight Designer... maybe even some you didn't know about!
Stay in the 'Light!
