Sorry if I've been a little unattentive, but there's this 21 day event involving bicycles that eats up most of July for me and my DVR:)
From:
Timmy Kokke shows how he grabs the event when window is closing so you can send a message to your user like "hey, I'm still playing music here... you sure you wanna exit?"... but read his caveat at the end.
Damon Payne is discussing dirty data in MVVM and in the context of his BBQ Grill application he's been using...all good stuff... go grab the code.
Kirupa Chinnathambi has a tutorial up on using transition effects to achieve smooth morphing... and the example at the top of the article does just that, and Blend makes it easy.
Giorgetti Alessandro discusses the current state of WPF and Silverlight in binding to indexers and properties and how he gets around the limitations.
Dinesh Sodani has a post up describing how to make a pushpin larger in BingMaps for Silverlight... great-looking example on the page, and all the code.
David Anson discusses an email exchange he had about a problem with the split button that a user reported. This was WPF-specific, but in the course of working on this, he's changed the namespace and uploaded new code, so if you're using it, you may want to grab new stuff.
Kunal Chowdhury has a nice tutorial up at CodeProject on using the Silverlight 4 COM interface to build a 'File Explorer'.
haruhiro isowa has a short tutorial up on CodeProject where he builds a behavior for using the mousewheel on the slider and then extrapolates to other controls as well.
Max Paulousky has a follow-on to his XAP minifier post. I actually thought this was the same one for a bit:(... he's dug into the problem mentioned in the last post of multiple startup objects, and actually was able to ignore the false ones in his code. So, get the updated addon, and enjoy!
Rénald Nollet has a post up that will save you a frustrating afternoon if you're trying to debug your Silverlight app and FireFox is your browser of choice.
Rob Tiffany has an interesting post up on encrypting your WP7 data... a reader brought up the question about exporting encryption though, so I think I'd look into this deeper if I intended to use it.
Stay in the 'Light!
