Silverlight Cream for December 06, 2009 -- #750

In this Issue: Davide Zordan(2), Fredrik Normén, Nick Kramer, Gill Cleeren(2), Jeff Prosise, CorrinaB, Al Pascual(2), Nigel Sampson, and Kirupa.

Shoutout:

Pete Brown has posted his list of... but it's 11:)

From:

Davide Zordan has post 2 of his MVVM, MEF, and Silverlight 4B series up talking about custom attributes

Davide Zordan's 3rd part of his series is also up and is on Part Creator and Creation Policy with a bunch of code and some good external links.

Fredrik Normén has been digging into the WCF RIA Services and this is a "Deep Dive" post... short, but deep:)

Nick Kramer discusses the unsealing of the Path class in Silverlight 4B and then shows off how to take advantage of that.

Gill Cleeren is continuing his "Silverlight Advent Calendar" excursion with a post on the new WebBrowser control.

Gill Cleeren's next post in his series shows how, in some cases, you can use some of the new databinding rather than a value converter.

Jeff Prosise has a post up about the Silverlight 4B Commanding... read all about it, then check out his code and download the sample.

CorrinaB is at it again with a second post on her Windows System Color Theme... this time discussing high contrast color modes.

Al Pascual is no stranger to MEF, and he's got a post up helpin the rest of us get onboard too... the advantages certainly sound convincing.

Al Pascual has a post up for Silverlight 4B that includes drag and drop AND the webcam... He's snapping a picture with the webcam, then dropping it into a location on a map... very nice!

Nigel Sampson is spending some time with Caliburn and the Binding Conventions available. Comment from Rob also.

Kirupa demonstrates how to extend the State, Element, and Storyboard pickers in Blend to give you more of what you're expecting... and quite easily I might add.

Stay in the 'Light!
