I'm about 24 hours later than I expected with this, but Rob Eisenberg had submitted a post to me about a new series of starter kits and samples he's going to be doing for Caliburn. I've added a Caliburn tag to SilverlightCream, and this first is a Navigation Shell. Check out all the features on the blog post! Then go grab the code:)
Gill Cleeren started a series on December first that he's calling "The Silverlight Advent Calendar"... I'm a little behind, but I'm going to catch up to him to try to stay in sync. His first is on the new SL4B text trimming feature.
Gill Cleeren's second post is on the new Drag/Drop features of Silverlight 4 Beta.
AfricanGeek's latest Silverlight 3 video is up on the site... showing how to add play/pause, previous, and next buttons.
Brett Balmer describes the challenges creating his energy savings calculator in Silverlight, and gives up the code in the process:)
Let Tim Heuer walk you through the steps getting Azure lashed up to replace Silverlight Live Streaming.
Alex Knight has a post up about animating clipping paths. He gives examples of why this is a good thing then explains how to do it.
Kirupa has an interesting post up on Expression Blend and what shows in the design surface, and how to make sure what you're doing shows up in Blend.
Jeff Prosise takes a look at the new Drag-and-Drop support in Silverlight 4B and demonstrates with an app that he dragged pictures onto from his "My Pictures" folder.
Jeff Prosise also has a great post up surrounding the Explicit Styles in Silverlight 4B. Good example and code.
nmarun has a post up on the ICommand feature added to Silverlight 4B, and a very nice tutorial on using it.
For all you bi-linguists out there, here's Brad Abrams's PDC RIA tutorial done in VB!
Shayne Burgess at the ADO.NET Data Services Team Blog posted about things we should know using the update to the Data Services client, specifically changes to adding a service reference in VS2010.
Bet you thought I missed this one Michael:) Michael Wolf asks the question: if you can execute COM with SL4B, can you execute a local process... then goes on to use the Windows Script Host to do just some of that!
Micah has a tip up if you're working with Prism and having problems that don't make sense... check your naming convention.
Stay in the 'Light!
