Silverlight Cream for September 16, 2009 -- #693

In this Issue: Bob Bartholomay, Fredrik Norm, Allan Muller, Steve White, Terence Tsang, Vikram Pendse, Victor Gaudioso, and Andy Beaulieu.

Shoutout:

I blogged that Koen Zwikstra had released Silverlight Spy... but Ward Bell did a great post about it: Silverlight Spy 3 - First Look

From:

Bob Bartholomay has a good post with external links to more assistance for describing the BuildAction values for Silverlight files.

Fredrik Norm got tired of the scaling issues he was having with Silverlight and decided to take matters into his own hands, and now has given his solution into our hands.

In this outing, Allan Muller at SilverlightTutorials is showing how to use a font that's not a 'Silverlight' font without making it usable outside your app...

By way of Electric Beach, Steve White has a very nice video tutorial on Styling a Button in Expression Blend.

Terence Tsang's latest is an XML Gallery... just add to the XML and they appear in the Gallery... well, that plus of course the photos:) Should be a good chunk of code on reading XML as well if you're interested!

When Vikram Pendse says 'beyond' databinding... he's not kidding. All the things you've wanted to do with a DataGrid... he's dong them... no, seriously... check it out... different color headers, hand cursor, column sizing, hyperlinks in cells... you get the idea!

In his latest video, Victor Gaudioso is demonstrating importing a Photoshop PSD file into Expression Blend. Also go to his home page and check out the post he has of all his videos in one post.

Andy Beaulieu has an update to his Physics Helper and he's added a Fluid Container Behavior... check out the demos... very cool!

Stay in the 'Light!
