In this issue: Pete Brown, Tim Greenfield, Boyan Nikolov, Jesse Liberty, Mike Ormond, David Justice, Tim Heuer, Chris Szurgot, Matthias Shapiro, Budi Kurniawan, Mike Snow, Martin Grayson, and Azret Botash

Busy folks... I've still got a backlog and I was only slow a couple days:)

From:

Pete Brown gives us the benefit of his excursions in the chart control plus his conversation with team members, and he ends up with some very nice-looking chart controls... good stuff, Pete!

Silverlight named color viewer

Tim Greenfield has an app up that displays all the named colors and they're sortable... it's one of those "crap, why didn't I think of that?" things... very cool, and I'm adding it to my sidebar links.

Boyan Nikolov describes in detail how to control the spacing of an HTML header above a Silverlight object in a resizing situation using JavaScript... so tell me you haven't wanted that:)

Creating Skinnable Custom Controls - Video

Jesse Liberty has four video tutorials coming up on Creating Skinnable Custom Controls... the first is great, the second one is just out... keep an eye out for the others... if you're even mildly interested in this, get and watch these videos!

Adventures with the Silverlight Viewbox

Mike Ormond has a good description of the Silverlight Toolkit Viewbox control. He gives some positives and negatives associated with using it.

Azure 1/10 + Facebook Connect 1/2 + Silverlight 2/5 = Fun

David Justice has a very cool post lashing together Azure, Facebook, and Silverlight... this is in a very nice tutorial format with plenty of code and information.

Tim Heuer has an article up on Event tracking using the Google Analytics event tracking that was just announced.

Silverlight Gadget (version of snowflake app)

Chris Szurgot is the reference from Matthias Shapiro yesterday, and this is his post about a Sivlerlight Sidebar Gadget.

Matthias Shapiro finalizes his Color Picker and has it not only as a Sidebar Gadget but as a control you can use in your apps... and shows how to find it from inside Blend.

Writing C# Custom Events

I found this one by way of Silverlight Tip of the Day #78 – Animating Objects with DoubleAnimationUsingKeyFrames

Mike Snow has number 78 up... wow... and this one is on Double Animation using Key Frames... if you've wondered what those were, now's the chance to find out!

Blacklight v2.0 (Dec08) is here!

Martin Grayson has a new version of Blacklight up... and once again, you've got to go check this out... very cool glass border, Perspective and Radial shadow effects, animated layout panel, "Loading" animation, and Interaction Manager... this is good stuff, thanks Martin!

Azret Botash has an article up on putting Silverlight on our desktop using project Fiji, and has a link to download the preview.

Stay in the 'Light!
