Rob Houweling has a very interesting way of controlling video, and reminds me of the Michael Washington/Jeff Paries 3D rotation to some extent... very interesting, but I agree it seems 'chunky'.
Bill Reiss decided not to clog up his SilverlightGames 101 blog with general SL posts, and has opened a second blog. I'll be tracking it, but you should too!
Why would you specify an event handler in XAML instead of code?

Silverlight: Running standalone full trust applications
Laurent Bugnion demonstrated this to me at the MVP Summit, and it was pretty interesting to see considering what we've all accepted as what we can and can't do... I'm sure we're going to see more of this... and good work!

Video: Magnify a Portion of a Photo using SIlverlight 1.0
This falls in the category of "Don't count out Silverlight 1.0"... I can't believe how long some of this takes to work it's way through the system, but Michael demonstrated this to us at the Phoenix Silverlight User's Group meeting in February!... definitely cool and definitely something to learn.
Silverlight - Dynamically Loading an Assembly
Mike Taulty takes on the task of loading part of the app now and part at run-time. I'm sure we're going to see this sort of technique being used as apps get bigger, or more dynamic.
Martin Mihaylov gives a great demo of using the DeepZoom composer. I've not done this yet, but might give it a shot with resources like this one.
