Though the companies like IBM have a stand in the markets, it is very unlikely that IBM has the competence and the resource to take on the dominance on the Global scale. Much of the problems with IBM have been due to its stubborn decisions that the company like IBM has taken up for a very long time. One of the more contrasting differences in the motives of the companies can be more or less seen in the ways they have been operating in the last decade or so.
