Gerson Lehrman Group

A few months ago, I was invited to apply to something called the Gerson Lehrman Group Councils.

It appears to be some type of web based independent consulting* system.
(*not the software consulting I do all day long. more like market research and conference calls, filling out surveys, etc.)

From their "Terms and Conditions" document, it says opportunities would include:

Telephone consultations and Online surveys.

and possibly:

In-person meetings; Seminars, roundtables, master classes, conferences;
Written reports; Expert witness testimony in litigations & disputes; and
GLG News analyses.

I don't really see having the time or flexibility to do many in-person meetings, seminars (unless I can slap a Magenic logo on them) , master classes (see above) or conferences... but Expert witness testimony actually sounds kind of interesting.

So... anyone ever heard of these guys? Ever work with them?
