Role Links....what are they anyway?

The glossary in the help file describes role links as "The relationship between roles defined by the message and port types used in the interactions in both directions". Hmmm...that sort of hurts my head. What role links are useful for is to abstract your business process from your trading partner or a disparate system. Operational Requirements - the less exciting stuff...

A key part, and sometimes overlooked part of any integration project are the operational requirements. Everyone is very busy trying to figure out how the whole solution is going to work, but someone needs to determine how this thing is going to continue to operate. After reading so many of the other blogs out there on BizTalk, I thought I would take a stab at my own. I have read many of the blogs faithfully, and have even had a chance to work with some of you (IT is a small world, isn’t it??).
