This is actually a late post, but figured I should go ahead and catch my blog up on my life.
(incidentally, I find that being an active twitter user sorta hurts my regular blog as I am usually micro-blogging as I go and rarely go back to the blog for a long-winded post. Either than means I rarely have anything worth saying at length or I am easily distracted, I guess)
In one week, I am leaving my current employer for another. Sometimes, it is time to go and do other things. This seems to be one of those times.
I am leaving to join a team committed to building an automated QA program/team now. I am the third QA employee hired to this company, and I am very excited to get started. So far, I've heard they only have some automation done in PowerShell (that rocks, given my recent fascination) and Selenium (an open-source testing solution I've not used before) but are open to trying new tools. The automation there is more or less a blank canvas, as I understand it, that my new manager (a guy who seems very technically savvy) can paint in whatever way we want. This will be the third automation process/architecture I've built in my career, but this time I am not constrained by a pre-existing software suite.
Anyway, I am very much looking forward to it, and I am sure there will be plenty of posts about it as I go.
