We are still looking for employees (.NET - Kansas City)

As Kyle blogged about and I blogged about a couple months ago, we are still looking to hire at least one person to do .NET development in the Kansas City area.  We have some really cool projects going on and we just don't have the resources to take everything on.

We are thinking about advertising in CareerBuilder.  They have some good packages for print and internet exposure.

Has anybody worked with CareerBuilder?  Have any good or bad stories?  Know any friends that are interested in working with .NET transportation and GPS products?

Are you guys looking to hire permanent, or are you also looking for contract/consultant devs for some of the projects?

Do you take contractors on a telecommute basis? :D

I'd love to work with you Tim but I am based in San Diego, CA.

D'Arcy - We prefer full time employees. We would probably consider a contract position, but it's not ideal. We want somebody that will chug the EnGraph koolaid, not take a sip here and there :)

Keith - I love San Diego. Maybe we should pick up and move there! We're not really big enough to support or manage telecommuting. Maybe in a couple of years though.

By taking a few minutes to visit our website at www.altekkc.com , you will discover that ALTEK’s recruiting solutions are built to work in tandem with and complement our clients’ internal recruiting and hiring process or serve as an extension of the recruitment function if a full-fledged human resource department has yet to be developed.

Our focus:
o Information Technology – OOD (C#, C++, Java) and Web Software Developer, QA Analyst

o Specialized Niche-We seek candidates in a narrow range of skill sets and become very knowledgeable about everyone in that profession in a particular geography. We perform competitive intelligence work and candidate pool development.

o In-depth knowledge of the people in a particular niche-We try to acquire as much knowledge of all the key players in our particular niches, it is an ongoing process to remain educated and building a larger network of contacts. We have a sense of their abilities and rank based on our relationships with those who refer to us (built-in references). We attempt to know about each prospect/candidate’s accomplishments, past employment history and "hot buttons" and which company they would most likely be interested in should an opportunity avail itself. By doing intensive knowledge gathering and screening, we are able to add great value to our clients.

Realizing the limitations of the written page, my business partner, Liz Agne and I welcome the chance to meet in person to answer any of your questions and better present our qualifications as a solutions partner, believing we will add value to your current talent search and future talent acquisition strategy.

I will conduct my due diligence and call you on Tuesday the 5th to make arrangements for a meeting. If you have questions before then, please feel free to contact me by phone or email. My contact information is conveniently located below. Many thanks for your time and consideration.

Warmest Regards,
