Few minutes ago, I saw @mShady, my dear friend (Real life friend, not just on twitter) tweeting: RT @ASGEgypt: RT @scrum_coach: Should the team be allowed to drop the retrospective? http://bit.ly/bkOgv #scrum #agile #lean #xp #kanban I checked the post and found the options are: Yes, It’s their process why not? No, explain to them and work through why the retrospective is so important. Maybe, if they are no longer a team then why continue with Scrum? Only do retrospectives once a quarter and build ...
I wanted to write a blog post to document how I do some day-to-day things. It helps me to keep track of my work habits, refine them and perhaps help some others who are looking for some solutions. My current rig is a Apple MacBook Pro 13” unibody. It has the 250Gb drive with 4Gb memory. I am running the latest version of OS X Leopard. I am really enjoying the 13” form factor. It is a little smaller and lighter than the previous 15” unibody which, to me, just felt heavy. I also don't notice the lost ...
PhoneNews.com reports that Sprint has delayed releasing PPC-6800 until October of this year. This release date will enable the phone to use EVDO rev A and also will be loaded with Windows Mobile 6. I can wait a couple months, I just hope my PPC6700 can hold on until then. Update - Looks like it has been bumped up to June 2007 Technorati tags: PPC6800, Sprint, PhoneNews Trackback ...
If you are tired of having your PPC-6700 set up just how you like it. With your settings perfectly configured and all the applications loaded to make it an almost perfect replacement for your laptop, just simply run the update from Sprint's website. It will fry your phone to paperweight status. As an added bonus, you'll get to visit the friendly Sprint store and get to listen to their gorilla math logic for getting insurance. Apparently, it makes fiscal sense to pay $7/month when a phone will have ...
Somebody from Sprint must have read my blog post about not being able to receive text messages from Where's Tim. Either that or somebody decided that we were not sending spam through our servers. Either way, I am now getting text messages people send me on Where's Tim. I also publish these messages in a GeoRSS enabled RSS feed. Since the feed does have GeoRSS, you can even view the last 100 messages on Where's Tim. Technorati tags: Where's Tim, GeoRSS, Sprint ...
A couple weeks ago, I blogged about Sprint blocking my SMTP server from sending text messages to my cell phone from Where's Tim. After I changed the code to send messages people send me through a different mail server, it worked fine for a week or two. I noticed last week that they were not coming through again and sure enough, they blocked me again. I apologize to anybody that has sent me a text message on Where's Tim and I haven't replied. I still kind of get the messages via the RSS feed, but ...
I loaded the new Sprint Mobile Email java client on Kyle's phone (MM-A920). The install was easy, I connected it to EnGraph's mail server in less than a minute. The interface is simple and you can even enable SMS alerts when you get a new message. Technorati tags: Sprint, Mobile Email, Kyle Archer ...
PCSIntel and PhoneScoop report that Sprint has released an email client for their Java enabled handsets. The client will be able to connect to AOL, Yahoo, Live and any POP3 or IMAP server. Now Kyle won't have mobile email envy and he will stop stealing my PPC-6700. Technorati tags: Sprint, PCSintel, Christopher Price ...
I ran into a problem today with my PPC 6700 when I would make or receive a call, the other person couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear them. I had a problem like this once before and I ended up taking it to the sprint store in Kansas City. They told me that the phone got stuck in headset mode - somehow. Well, I have no idea where the closest sprint store is, so I did some googling around and found this article. Basically, it said to plug your headset in and pull it out really quickly. They said to ...
