I just wanted to recognize and thank all of the my friends at the American Red Cross for an incredible send off.  I was really taken back and humbled by the way my last day went at ARC.  Again, it has been my privelege and honor to work with such great folks.  It is crazy for me to think that there is a hurricane coming into the gulf and I'm not at ARC preparing some system for the impending disaster.  There is no way that I will ever shake the urge to try and offer some suggestion on how to prepare.  Good luck to you all.

Now my new job starts on Monday.  I am REALLY excited to get started.  If you are in the D.C. area, are a .Net developer, and are looking for a great opportunity please let me know!  We are working to continue to build a world class Microsoft Technology practice.

After 5 1/2 years, I've decided to leave the American Red Cross and join Excella consulting to focus on developing Excella's Microsoft Technology practice.  The last 5 years have been some of the most rewarding of my life.  I will never forget how vital the work done by Information Technology at the American Red Cross is to helping so many people around the world during times of disaster.  It was an honor and a privilege to work with so many hardworking, loyal and dedicated people.

I am tremendously excited to get started with Excella.  I always said that it would take a big opportunity to pull me away from ARC, and this is definitely the one.  Excella has demonstrated excellence in both employee and client satisfaction.  A mix that is tough to achieve and maintain.  It's going to be exciting and fun to help build a part of the organization which is focused on the technology that I really love.

2 weeks and counting...
