Hello world seems like the obligitory first entry for a geek, so there it is. I've been meaning to get on the blogging band(width) wagon for some time now, but never made the plunge until now.

After taking a look at what VS 2005 has to offer, I am finally convinced that I should be shifting to C# as my primary development language. I have been a VB guy since 3.0, and have always liked the language. I've long defended the VB programmer against C++ and Java Elitists who think it's not a “real” language, but it seems clear that MS wants VB to be the domain of the hobbyist. So it goes...

As one young speaker at my local user group put it, “C# gets edit-and-continue, and VB gets screwed!”.

I don't have a choice at work (VB only), but at home it will be C# first, VB 2nd.

hopping to skin this blog soon.

Welcome! I feel you; I got screwed at work, too. It was a decision by management just before we went to training in C#.
