Edmonton Launch Event

3….2……1….Edmonton event is a go too!

Great turnout and a shipping hiccup in the morning….. Attendees started pouring in as early as 7 am this morning as the event staff was having breakfast. I am estimating some 500 people in attendance right now.

A few of the demo machines didn’t arrive in time for the event this morning. So we already started executing our backup plan, when the boxes showed up about 15 minutes ago. Luckily enough, these are the boxes we are going to be using in the afternoon (MSDN – developer) part of the event. In either case, we are all good to go; can’t wait for the afternoon session to begin. Here is JohnB booting up the backup machines.

Stay tuned for more updates from Edmonton and our next stop - Victoria, BC.

Gravatar What a disaster lunch was. Why the hell did we have to register twice? Should of taken care of that during the first registration in the morning. I know you guys wanted to know how many were actually attending the afternoon but to make us line up twice!? cmon!
It doesn't take 20 minutes to exit the theatre after the first session. Even for people who had to leave couldn't because of some bad planning. Of all the MS events, the lunch organization was the worse ever.
