Now that Microsoft exams are only available through Prometric I have to drive over 2 hours to take a Microsoft certification exam!
Sometime within the past year Microsoft certification exams became available only at Prometric test centers. I remember reading about it, but I was not too concerned. Although I had been using a Pearson/VUE testing center, I had also used the one Prometric Center in the area as well. HOWEVER, when I went to register for an exam and selected the only Prometric center in my city, there were not dates available. A quick phone call to the center and I learned that they had closed the testing center over six months ago.
I don't live in a city of a million people, but I just checked on Wikipedia and I leave in a metropolitan area of close to 300,000 and the closest testing center to me is over 2 hours away. I was hoping to use the second chance exam offer and reduce my risk - but with gasoline at over $3.00 a gallon... guess I'd better study a little longer and be a little more certain I'm ready.
