I wasn't able to make it to the Launch event today here in Vancouver (work always gets in the way :-p) but I did get to got to yesterday's SQL Server 2005 Community Launch Event: Upgrading to SQL Server 2005 hosted by the Vancouver PASS chapter.

I (stupidly) forgot to write down the details of who was presenting last night (I'll find out though), but the presentation was very cool. Like the presenter said, it wasn't terribly exciting, but then again the last thing you want when upgrading SQL server is excitement. Just a few clicks and it's done, no sweat.

Although I know of a few people who are going to have some fun moving lots of ActiveX DTS packages over to SSIS.
