Due to a recent run of beautiful Super Sunny Sparkle Weather© here on
the left coast of Canada all blogging was put on hold during the weekend for the enjoyment of the out of doors. But, as promised, here's my writeup of the Vancouver Beercasting/Blogger Meeting for April 2005.
When we first got there we were warmly welcomed to Vancouver by
Boris(thank you Boris!) and introduced to the whole group. Somehow it's
easier to remember names when there is a URL or blog name associated with them.
The meeting was really fun and Erika and I got to meet a whole bunch of new people and share some new ideas. I was finally able to meet
Kris, he was kind of busy running the whole beercasting thing but we were able to chat a little. He even got me involved in a beercast conversation about bad job interviews, however it looks like the sound quality was bad and Kris didn't post the recordings. Here's the link to
Kris' writeup of the event.
We also got to meet
Roland, who gave us alot of good ideas of restaurants to eat at in Vancouver as well as the historical links between Mexico and the Philippines. Roland's a wealth of knowledge.
A few other interesting people we got to chat with were
Matt Musselman,
John Goodall and
Darren Inouye. I also got to say a quick hi to
Will Pate at the end of the night.
There were a whole bunch of other people that we didn't get a chance to speak with but we're looking forward to meeting at upcoming events.
