Microsoft, .NET and Life in General
Just got this one from a friend....

All good writers and bloggers try to improve their writing as they go. Some may be inspired to emulate Hemingway or Mailer others might be inspired by prolific bloggers like Robert Scoble or Doc Searls. Me? I want to grow up to write like Andy Ihnatko. Long, essay type posts normally centered on some technology-related topic but taking enough twists and turns and containing enough inside references to send Dennis Miller scrambling to the Wikipedia for clues. Time to go back to school (in a way), the Groupe d'usagers Visual Studio Montréal meetings are back on after the summer hiatus.
The first meeting of the fall is tonight, with another bonus meeting on Wednesday night this week. Looking forward to it.

The geek dinner last night in Montreal was great. Robert Scoble and his wife Maryam came to dinner with their friends. The local crowd was made up of Patrick Ritchie, Eric Gauthier my wife Erika and myself. We had a fun dinner at Arahova and then headed down to Old Montreal on the way we gave everyone the walking tour of Old Montreal. We then headed to Le Jardin Nelson for dessert and coffee and live Jazz. The conversation turned geeky, we talked about blogging, security, Microsoft, politics, religion ......
Update: The geek dinner is on! When: Saturday 7:00pm Where: Arahova Souvlaki, 1425 Crescent St, Montreal Looks like Robert Scoble is coming to Montreal this weekend and is trying to get a geek dinner together for Saturday night. I am definitely in! :-D Any other Montreal area geeks interested ......
