Today we had really a nice session at our campus. The event started by the introductory speech from our country leader, Mr. Saqib Ilyas who gave the audience a detailed review of INETA Pakistan activities during last year and also projected our plans for the upcoming months. Then our speaker Mr. Hammad Rajjoub started his talk with a thrust. He started with ASP.NET Programming model and gave us a few examples on how to use different tools in making our applications. He gave us some really cool ideas and also showed us some code writing techniques. We also learn how we can interpret our web application from ASP.NET 1 to ASP.NET 2. Students learned the basic difference of “code behind/code inline” between Web Matrix and Visual Studio.NET and VS Express 2005 Beta. His speech was really amazing and the audience was really geared when he showed the demo. Our lab got full in the middle of the event so we run around to find some more chairs. The lab was jammed pack with students who were dying to get the uptodate knowledge. In the end our speaker gave us some suggestions on different programming IDEs. We were told the pros and cons of every model. We were also told about the great stuffs in ASP.NET 2.0. The ending demo of “Visual Web Developer Express Edition Beta” put more enthusiasm for students to work in the new IDE.
