I have been running Windows Defender Beta 2 for a couple of days now and I have noticed one strange behavior . . . it does not appear in the systray when running. I have looked for it continuously, and I don't see an option in its preferences for hiding\showing it in the systray. The Windows Defender service is running so
I know it is on! Now, heaven knows, we already have a ton of things running in the systray and we certainly don't need another – but being it there gives you the little reassuring feeling that it is actually running.
