Technically Speaking All in on IT
Finally Microsoft has developed a “house call” type online security scanning service. As long as it is free, comprehensive and easy to use it will go a long way to help keep the consumer desktop more secure. And thats a good thing . . . of course, at this point I think I am developing an “overly secure” configuration as all of Microsoft’s various tools battle each other. To use the security center I have to add it to the exception list on my MSN toolbar pop-up blocker. And then Microsoft Anti-spyware warns me when the ActiveX control is installed. Windows One Care chimes in as well and I am just waiting for the MSN toolbar Phishing Filter to put its two cents in! Posted on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 1:27 PM | Back to top
