IE7 Beta 2 Preview - It's Worth It

After playing with Beta 1, I find the Beta 2 Preview to be worth it. Uninstall Beta 1 if you have it before installing Beta 2 Preview. My installs were seamless.

Note: The .Text editing window is a little flakey with delete/backspace and cursor positioning. It also has problems with the post body toolbar. Hmmm ... maybe a reboot.

Lots of people are calling this Beta 2 -- that is incorrect. The IEblog announcement calls a beta preview “a release for everyone involved in making the Internet work.“ While they anticipate it will be downloaded by the public at large, a later Beta 2 will be for the masses.

Hey, I just has an idea of IE 7.0 What do you think about moving the tabs from one place to another? What do i mean by that. well, in Microsoft PPT, you can move slide 1 to 4 and 4 to one by drag and drop. Why cant we do the same with IE 7.0? I love the way you can see all the tabs in one window, which this is not offered in firefox. Anyhow, I am just telling you because I think you look like a person who is working for MSFT.

Ummm, thanks for the vote of confidence (I think) that it appears I work for Microsoft, but in fact I have been working for the country for nearly the last 24 years as an active duty officer in the Navy. (Note the title of this blog.)

Microsoft will have more UI improvements in the full beta 2 which I believe will include draggable tabs, though I have not seen anything about draggable QuickTab thumbnails.

Great thing about firefox...extensions abound. There is one that let's you see the thumbnail view of all tabs. Although I must say that I like using ie7b2...just sucks on the USNEWS site (click on the rankings section).
