I know I'm going to get some LameBoy...errr...GameBoy fan boy flames, so bring em on.  Sony just announced the price point for their new handheld (PSP).  It will start selling in Japan for 19,800 yen ($185) which sounds like a good price considering the new DS from Nintendo is priced at $149.  Now I'm not predicting the utter demise of the GameBoy, but I do think their handheld monopoly won't last anymore.  They finally have some serious competition.  I for one plan on getting a PSP for myself but I'm sure my older boy would want the DS (honestly, both of us would like both of them since we're addicted gamers, but that's another story).  I haven't seen a release date for the PSP in the US so maybe someone can fill me in.  Let the games/competition begin!

So far it looks like the PSP is just another PS2, whats the difference?

The DS is different, because developers will have to come up with more innovative ideas instead of just porting same games from PS2.
