As you all know, Vista Beta 2 is out. So I jumped in. So far, I am happy with the new experience. There are a couple issues though: 1. IE stopped working after I installed Omea Reader. I found that two plugins that Omea Reader installed into IE are not compatible. So I disabled them and it was working again. 2. Then I installed VS.NET 2005 and JDK 1.5.0_07, after that I could start up IE but once I clicked or typed anything in IE window, it just stopped responding. So I cannot browse anything anymore. It's a pity but now I have to use Firefox now in Vista :( 3. Media Player seems to work with music only :P. I tried to open many video files. All I saw was the visualizer. I could not configure it to show the video. Is it just me? Updated: 2. I found out that I have to turn protection mode to off so that I can use my IE again 3. I also found out that my video files are encoded in format that MP11 doesn't support. Probably I need to install more codecs.
