Available for Contract

I'm coming off an assignment in NYC in a couple of weeks.  If anyone within the length of this blog has any leads they want to throw my way - by all means.

Don't forget to download .NET Rocks!

I had the honor of being the guest on .NET Rocks! with Carl Franklin and Richard Campbell this week - get the episode at www.dotnetrocks.com.

MVP Summit

Just got back from the MVP Summit yesterday - had a great time.  I think the best thing about it is seeing everyone I talk to often but don't very often get to see.  And of course it's always a thrill meeting new people, some of who I have been following (their work not stalking) for many many years.  Got a chance to chat extensively with Bill Vaughn this year which was a great thrill considering his SQL books were my primary form of reference on that topic.  Meeting the lady that taught me to “do objects” [Debora Kurata] was great and of course there are the other community (and Microsoft) people that I have seen at conferences but never got a chance to chat with until now, Scott Hansleman, Paul Vick, Richard Hale Shaw, Ted Neward, Rocky Lhotka, and my Webcontrol counterpart from ASP.NET Pro Magazine (I write for CoDe), Steve C. Orr.  I also had the privelege of being interviewed for .NET Rocks with Carl Franklin and Richard Campbell, and even got a chance to try Richard's famous BBQ Ribs -- and yes, they hold true to reputation.

Can't wait for next year.
