Bugs in your software more than 762,700,000 miles away...

I saw a news article today about a bug in the Cassini spacecraft's software which prevented it from collecting much anticipated data during a fly-by of one of Saturn's moons. Not only has that got to be monumentally disappointing to those expecting the data, but also to those who developed that software and tested it. It's not like they can just release a patch to fix the problem. Wow.
