Donating Profits

As the managing director of a small software company (Eclipse Web Solutions) I have recently (yesterday) decided that at the end of each quarter I will donate 10% of the business's profit to a selection of charities. I hope that doing this will help people directly, through the donations, and indirectly by encouraging others to make similar commitments. I am interested to know what people think of this idea; so please leave a comment.

Donating to charity is always good to see, I always find it a difficult thing to do as i live in England and we (the english working class) are ripped off and screwed by the government left right and center :(
Our country is being given away, so i kinda feel i do my bit!!!....but heh thats another topic.

Gravatar I think donating to a charity is a good idea because you know that is going to a good cause. And if you have made up your mind on donating to a charity i would like to recommend one. It is based in Uganda, known as Foundation for Young Orphans. www.thefyo.org 8/31/2007 10:09 AM | Mark
