Ah, college football has finally arrived. All the tailgate parties, passionate rivalries, drunk college people passing out in the stands, all the sinning. Yum, I love this time of year. I just wish I didn't have so much work to do today. But on a positive note, I *do* have a laptop and wifi here at the house, so I will be planning on working while consuming more college football than a grown human can consume. What can I say? Some people get drunk off of silly, stupid things like alcohol. I happen to get drunk off of college football. Here's my own tentative schedule of consumage for the day:

9:30am - Bowling Green @ Oklahoma  and/or  California @ Air Force

12:30pm - Oklahoma State @ UCLA

3pm - Oregon State @ LSU (although if this is a blowout (which I think it might be (you see, I can say that because I am (I mean was) an Oregon resident and hence will be cheering for Oregon State even though they will probably get their pantaloons ripped out from under them)), I will watch Tulane @ Mississippi State instead)

6pm - Notre Dame @ BYU  and/or  Toleda @ Minnesota (although I feel that I will be sticking to the Notre Dame game the entire time)

9pm - College GameDay wrap-up

Oh yeah, Baby!

Oh what a glorious evening, oh what a glorious day.....

Yep. I really like college football, too. Way better than pro football. And now that the Mariners sux0rs, I'm really ready for the college football season.

Guess those Beavs weren't quite the underdogs most expected, eh?

Darn shame they couldn't put the ball between the posts, though!!!

Rich -

No, not at all. I still can't believe that they missed all three extra point attempts though!!! On a different note, I shouldn't have underestimated the OSU defense. Last year, in yards allowed per game, they were one of the top defenses in the nation. Unfortunately, last year (and perhaps this year (time will tell)) they didn't really have a powerful offense to put the points up on the board.

I do think though that perhaps this game was a good sign that the OSU defense this year can be just as powerful (and perhaps more) than last year's defense. Even though they lost the game, man, I think they showed some critics what they are capable of. I mean, when you can hold off a defending national champion like that I think it shows that you are ready to run with the big boys.
