Well, the XGameStation is finally finished. I was starting to wonder if it was ever going to come out. I've been excited about this for a long time. Not only do you have a console you can program against, but it is built in a such a way to be a hobbyist console that also teaches you how consoles work in the first place. Considering that I was never into computers when others were having their first C64 or AppleII moments, I have a feeling that this baby is going to cause me to have many late nights. This console was developed by Andre LaMothe and is a pretty decent hobbyist machine. It does cost $199 but they are giving away a lot of “extras“ along with it (like Andre's book “Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus“ among others) that make the purchase well worth it.
