As Chris mentioned earlier, Geekswithblogs.net will have an official presence this year at the PDC. We will be a Silver Media Sponsor and will have a booth for registering members and teaching people about blogging. To keep the buzz going at the event while we are in the booth, we have invited Chris Williams and D'arcy Lussier to help us out. They are going to be an amazing addition to our onsite team. Thanks for taking us up on our offer guys! Jerod will be sending a newsletter out this week to...

Some of you have probably seen the new logo on our shirts that we gave out at the MVP Summit or on a few of my posts and wondered what is going on. We we are in the process of redesigning the community portal (currently just a homepage) of the site to allow readers and visitors of the site to learn more about who our bloggers are and what topics are of interest. With this redesign comes the a new look. This means we are killing the Green Monster. Sad day for me when we go live, but it had to be done....

I have been re-awarded the MVP status for the 4th year. This year is different as I am now a SharePoint MVP where in the past I was an XML MVP. The transfer process was not as difficult as I thought it would be and I would like to thank Rafael Munoz, my previous lead, and April Spence, my new lead, for all the help when I asked to move to another designation. It wasn't a straight move like I asked and it was done, I had to go through the qualification tests again, but I knew what to expect. If you...

I released another version of Geekswithblogs.net today that added a small MVP icon for those who responded to the email sent yesterday to the members. If you did not receive an email or junk filters ate it up, send Jerod Crump a comment on his blog to get you added to the list. Send your MVP ID as well for verification. The icons will appear in the blogger list on the right side and in the Posted By: section of the entries. I am sure we will do more with this information soon, but I wanted to get...

DonXML starts this conversation with a recap of ALT.NET, then breaks into the new technologies Microsoft is releasing in the area of XML. Don has been an XML MVP for the past 4 years and is definitely one of the brightest in this space. Read his blog here. Listen to DonXML talk about XML! Technorati tags: HDC, DonXML, LINQ, ALT.NET, VB, XML...

...here are my answers anyway. I think it is a fun topic. [Update: Or maybe I just can't read well...Chris Haaker (can't believe he isn't an MVP yet) tagged me last year and I just didn't see it.] Geekswithblogs.net was created because I was kicked off of dotnetweblogs.com (A.K.A weblogs.asp.net). The back story was, a few of us were discussing the differences between VB and C# and we can just say the conversation started to get heated. Toward the end of the conversation, Cory Smith and I were the...

This morning while working on the book John and I have been working on for a few months now I got a nice email from Microsoft welcoming me to the MVP program. I really enjoy being part of this program and having another year is in it is awesome. Happy New Year

I found out yesterday when I was in bed sick with the flu (not Xbox 360 Flu, but the real one) that I have been awarded MVP again in 2006. My area is XML and I am glad I am still part of that team

Geekswithblogs.net's member and all around great guy, Drew Robbins has been named Regional Director and ASP.NET MVP in one week. This is well deserved for the creator of *Bloggers.com during major conferences

Microsoft launched their MVP profile pages and I have to say I like it. Take a look at my <friends />

Check out this video of Jason and I at the MVP summit talking about Imagine Cup! Looks like I have been declined for a tourist VISA to Brazil and will most likely not have enough time to get a business VISA. Kind of sucks, but I will survive if I can't make it. They want a letter from a senior executive by tomorrow. I replied, “Yeah, that's going to happen, have you heard of Microsoft? They aren't small.” She said, “Well isn't there and executive in Kansas?” More laughter....

Chris Pels, Web Services MVP, has just pushed some more sushi dinner photos from the MVP Summit. http://www.idevtech.com/ide

While talking to Amy about the promotion of the .NET Book Club, I thought of printing up bookmarks. Well Michelle, my wife in 5 weeks, is doing web design for a custom printing shop. So the order is in and I will have 1000 of them before the MVP Summit. I will also be giving Amy some for the Connections conference. Here is what they look like. ...
