The future is 64 and it all begins today!

As I type - the Windows Development Team has released the final bits of the Windows 64bit OS (Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions - Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter) to Manufacturing. Today marks a day in computing history as we witness the dawn of the 64 bit computing era. Computing will never be the same.

Congratulations to the Windows Team!!

Well, for me the 64-bit era began when I installed 64-bit Linux on my AMD Athlon 64 about a year ago. Windows is a loooot later but it is also finaly here so I can also upgrade Windows to 64-bit. Too bad the apps are still not 64-bit and optimized for AMD64 as they are in Linux. I hope this happens ASAP.
