Breaking News: C# is dying

Apparantly, a lot of programmers are moving from C# and Java to C++. What was Stroustrup smoking? I have no doubt that it does happen and that there probably are 3 million C++ developers but C++ has been around a while. I am betting there are more Java programmers or VB programmers or maybe even more C# programmers. It just hogwash (as the article says) that there is pilgrimage from the modern languages to C++. It's like selling your Expedition just so you can buy a Pinto. It happens but the people who do it are usually dazed and confused.

Gravatar You know.. it's funny reading all the posts about how fast java is and how c++ cant compete with java.

to me... being a java developer ... Java is pure crap.. it's slow.. to many bugs.. things break all the time.. its been out for over 10 years and it doesnt come close to C#

if you want to use a "modern language" use C#... it's def. faster and eaiser to use. ..

im a newbie to c++ professional development ( about 2 years now) and I tell ya.. you can do things with C++ you can only wish to do with java..
