I just got notice that I will be speaking at ASP.NET Connections! That's cool. My sessions will include:
AWF201: Secrets of Working with HTML Server Controls
By using the languages that are offered with the .NET Framework and ASP.NET, you can gain programmatic access to specific HTML elements. Using a little bit of ASP.NET code you can change these HTML elements into something that you can easily control and manipulate on the server before the complete set of HTML is constructed and sent to the browser, which brings you some creative opportunities. This session will take a close look at the HTMLGenericControl class as well as techniques for using the FileUpload control.
AWS201: Introduction to XML Web Services
This session will take an in-depth look at the XML Web services model and what it means for connecting disparate systems. Beyond introducing Web services on the .NET platform, you will learn how to construct your own SOAP headers, consume Web services with SOAP headers, send images, and overload your Web methods.
AWS301: Web Services Enhancements: Building Enterprise-level XML Web Services
Microsoft has provided XML Web service developers with the Web Services Enhancements (WSE) to build Web services that work with some of the latest GXA specifications. This session will take a look at how to build XML Web services that will abide by the WS-Security, WS-Routing, and WS-Attachments specifications.
It is nice to see that so many cool people I know will be speaking as well, including Paul Litwin, Michèle Leroux Bustamante, Doug Seven, Rocky Lhotka, Ken Getz, Carl Franklin, Mike Amundsen, Scott Guthrie, Rob Howard, Ari Bixhorn and Juval Löwy.
