Microsoft and MSN strangeness

So I went onto the new www.msn.com last night and did a search. What URL did it take me to? http://beta.search.msn.com and I asked myself why would they do that. Are they trying to keep their search engine in beta? That made no since to me, so I did some poking around. Right now http://beta.search.msn.com and http://search.msn.com both take you to the same places and give you the same results. So no they are not trying to stay in beta. It seems like someone over at Microsoft forgot to change the the pointer on the main page to http://search.msn.com. Maybe Robert Scoble has something to say about this.
