Edgardo Vega's Blog Making it through the day one post at a time

We are about to embark on upgrading to and then heavily using Biztalk 2004, which mean lots of XML schemas. As we all know the writer in Biztalk is pretty bad and was wondering what other people out there have used and like the best. So I ask everyone out there “What is the best XML writing utility?” (for my situation)

XMLSpy is the best of the best. You'll have to look at the various versions carefully to determine what features you will need. A bit of a learning curve involved, but once you're there it's hard to beat.

XMLSpy is the only program I've ever used but I was doing a lot of XSLT work at the time. It did everything I needed and more, I assume the newest version is even better than that.
