This tool (XStudio) is great ! it handles my testplans just fine and I'm now even managing my bugs with it... and it's free !

QATraq manages every thing in Word format. You won't get an excel view for test case steps. You cannot execute test case by loging result step wise. 1/7/2009 8:12 AM | vishvanath

I agree with Dave: XStudio is a great new tool. It evolves extremely fast. Definitely a must-have.

Orcanos is providing its QPack test management system for free. From what I have heard it is a great subtitute for the expensive HP-Mercury and IBM
I have downloaded it a while ago, not yet used it.

We just complete the installation of QPack which was very easy to do. We have start using it for the Requirements and test coverage since this is our main concern today. We can not see the coverage we are using today Office tools and Excels.

Note that XStudio (http://www.xqual.com) (which is 100% free) has a new open-source section where users are posting their launchers (drivers) to connect to their proprietary/external such as AutoIt, TestComplete or TestPartner. Klaros-Testmanagement Community Edition with support for external issue trackers
(Bugzilla, Jira, Trac, Redmine), continuous integration server (Hudson) and import

I started using XStudio http://www.xqual.com recently. This tool is amazing! easier to use than QC and free. Many integration with 3rd party byg-tracking systems also but at the end I'm now using their integrated BTD as it's just so simple to use and fine.
