TechEd really heats up today. I've watched the cabanas turn from an idea based on attendee feedback from last year to a reality in the Sails Pavilion yesterday. The various Microsoft teams have renamed the groupings of the cabanas and at 10:00 PM the “theme” song for their names got played (if you are there at 7:00 AM today you will also hear the theme songs).
- MBS/BPR (Cabanas 1-3) are “Margaritaville.”
- DEV/ARC/MBL (Cabanas 4-7) are “Kokomo”
- DAT/MSG/EBZ (Cabanas 8-11) are “Hotel California”
- WIN/MGT (Cabanas 12-14) are “Copacobana”
I heard a rumor that the TSG support staff might wear Carmen Miranda outfits on the last day? I don't know if I can round up costumes. I will have to give my friend, costume supplier Kyra Stewart, a call to see if she can help me out. She's always supplying costumes for the Seattle area events!
As for Margaritas, we need to hold up a glass to Mindy Martin, a top TechEd/MEC speaker who is missing her first TechEd in 9 years. Mindy joined the SQL team this spring, so maybe we will see her present on SQL someday soon!
TechEd has had some session changes this week already. With TechEd sold out, I do imagine there will be some standing room only. Luckily we have allocated free DVDs to all who attend and they are available by purchase as well. Pam Boustead has been great about making changes to the printed in schedule in signage and on the housekeeping monitors. The CommNet is up-to-date an you can see the Tech·Ed 2004 Session Change List once you've logged into CommNet. Today's changes. Here are 5 changes for Monday thus far:

Kevin and Drew have done a fantastic job with TechEd Bloggers and I caught up with them yesterday. It seems really hard to believe that just last year in Dallas Drew was walking me through the blogger concept! Has a year really passed? Wow!
Enough of my random and organized thoughts...off to see what Steve has to say.
