Doug Butscher Nothin' but .NET!

Today is Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007. This morning at 9:00 - 11:00am, John Alexander and I did some presentations at a Microsoft DevCares event, on LINQ. The event took place at New Horizons training center in Overland Park, KS.

John gave an excellent and very enthusiastic presentation on what LINQ is, from an overview level, and tackled some of the baked-in syntax such as query operators and lambda expressions.

Be sure and check out his blog, as he will be sharing his presentation, as well as links to a host of resources he used during his presentation. "Grab that foreign API! Do it gently". Love it.

I talked about LINQ to SQL and LINQ to Entities (LINQ to Relational Data). I did good. My very dear friend Jeff Julian is uploading the PowerPoints and zip versions of my demo projects, so that any who attended (and those who didn't) can use these resources as... well... resources.

The zipped version of my LINQ to Relational Data can be found here.
The zipped version of the LINQ to SQL demo solution can be found here.
The zipped version of the LINQ to Entities demo solution can be found here.

Thanks for coming out today! It was great to meet you folks.

Let me know if I can answer any questions you may have on the subjects.

Cheers!
