Hmmm...Tris, or Arieanna...or someone smarter than me over at Qumana wants to know who the Qumana bloggers are out there. Surprisingly enough, I am not.
Why? This is a .Text blog and it doesn’t work well with .Text. It can’t retrieve the Categories. I suspect this is more a shortcoming of .Text than it is with Qumana, but for now I use BlogJet. I’m planning on moving to a new bloghost in the near future (I’ve already registered at 3 or 4 of them, as a matter of fact), as no new work is apparently being done on .Text and I have a feeling that as time goes by I will find that to be more and more restrictive.
So, where am I going? The most likely will be at BlogSome. Qumana works well with it, it appears, and I like how the site is set up. I’m also looking at ModBlog. That site has the advantage that it appears that I can import my posts from here without too much difficulty (it looks like I can do it at BlogSome as well, but might take some more effort), but Qumana doesn’t seem to like ModBlog either, even though ModBlog apparently supports both WordPress and the MetaWeblog API. However, I’ve been unable to convince Qumana to work with it using either API.
So, Tris, or Arieanna, or whoever you are... (:-)), I’m not a Qumana user yet, but I hope to be one soon. Which is why I keep reading your blogs.
BlogJet and Qumana appear to be the tops for remote posting to blogs at the moment. If I’ve missed something, and you think something else is better than either, let me know. I use NewsGator as my aggregator, but am not a fan of how it posts. Outlook 12 will apparently support blogging, but I’ll wait and see about that one. I wonder how well it will actually do, and if it will support any blogs other than the upcoming SharePoint blogs.
