I received some very exciting news yesterday. As the Lead for INETA Academic Marketing, I found out I will be heading to Redmond to serve as a judge for Microsoft’s Imagine Cup 2005 Nationals competition. For those of you who are not familiar with Imagine Cup, it’s a program Microsoft developed for high school and college student teams to develop Microsoft based solutions. There are local competitions, with winners advancing to regional competitions, and then winners advance to national competitions. The winner of each nation’s competition will then advance to world finals being held in Japan.
I’ve been a Microsoft evangelist of one kind or another for 10 or more years, and this is the first time I’ve had the opportunity to go to Redmond and see the Mothership. I’m extremely excited! I’ll be going May 20 – 21 and I’m sure I’ll be like a 6 year old tourist in Disney World!
