I'm currently standing in line behind exactly ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY THREE PEOPLE outside EB Games at Crossgates mall in Albany.
There are at least 50 more behind me. My Treo 600 and Rio Carbon have kept me entertained. I only wish the camera on the Treo was even half of half decent.
An interesting phenomenon has begun here. You seem the Best Buy next door is also opening at midnight. And they don't require that you be one of their 200ish pre-orders. What's more, they just put up a sign indicating that all who defect from the EB line and purchase the game from their stockpile of 600 copies will receive a $5 gift card.
EB's sheperds offered the herd free 1 year subscriptions to Xbox Nation magazine in response.
Rumor has it that FYE will also be opening soon to try and leech off more of EB's hungry mob.
Well the magic hour is nearly upon us. With any luck, i'll be blasting foes on XBL within the hour.
