I handed in my game submission on Friday evening. I was surprised to find that the rest of the weekend I felt aimless and without purpose for the first time in six weeks. The game had consumed my nights and weekends.

So what now? Well, I start a new class in accounting this week, but even that does not take my complete attention. I find myself playing with the Crusader RPG game starter kit from Microsoft and thinking big things. So I think that I may start on another game - a big epic console-type RPG.

What I like about this game is that it draws in a window. I don't know enough about it to know if that means it doesn't use DirectX or whatever. I do like the tile system, although the map files are archaic and can be done better in XML in my opinion.

We'll see where this leads and whether I have the patience to see it through to a deliverable end if I don't have a contest deadline to shoot for.
