Random stuff surrounding Silverlight for June 4, 2009

We had a great Phoenix Silverlight User Group meeting last night. Steele Price hosted a roundtable-type discussion on Navigation and MVVM plus gave us a hint of what his Desert Code Camp talk will be about. He has also agreed to repeat the Code Camp talk at our July 1 meeting, so put that on your calendar now!

Thanks to Steele, Simon Allardice for babysitting us, and Interface Technical Training for hosting us as usual!

If you are not a member of the Phoenix Silverlight User Group Yahoo mailing list, please join. We'd appreciate the discussion and you'll know what we're up to!

Silverlight Girl wrote me that the Mashoo S Prize entry deadline is approaching, so if you're working on something, now is the time to wrap it up! And then the fun begins for the judges :)

If you're a regular reader of Silverlight Cream, you know I cannot receive Twitter during the day. Because I can't, I not only miss out on all the good links that are sent that way between the Silverlight geeks, but I also don't see anything that is @WynApse... at least not in real time. I use TwiLerts to tell me when someone mentions WynApse or SilverlightCream and I get an email later... generally the next morning. So it was fun to read Jeff and Justin's posts this morning... thanks for the kind words guys. A little of that goes a long way and makes it easy to continue posting :) As we all know, things change, but at this point the only exit I have in mind for SilverlightCream is when I go out of scope.

Getting back to the Phoenix Silverlight User Group... if you're in the Phoenix area or even if you will be passing through the first Wednesday of the month, we'd love to have you join us. If you would like to present, that's even better because my biggest pain point right now is speakers. I believe we're good for July and August, but the schedule is open beginning September, so help me fill it! We do belong to INETA but I don't know how that works, but if you're an INETA speaker I'm sure you do, so contact me about presenting for us.

Stay in the 'Light!
