Expression Newsletter - Silverlight Toolkit Charting Article
Pete Brown's article hit the Expression Newsletter. Very nice, Pete... awesome tutorial! If you're not subscribed to this, you should... notice below that there's another article in this issue that I'm mentioning... good stuff!
Making Silverlight do the work for me: fake software boxes
Anna Wrochna [AKA Math Geek Rock Chick] posted this clever page. It's one of those slap yourself on the forehead moments. I haven't had a need to do this, but I'll bet you I'd have built the graphics for each separately! ... thanks for the tip, MGRC :)
Mashooo announces a Silverlight game developer ad revenue sharing program
James Bacon Announced a revenue sharing program on Mashooo. I know we have lots of Game developers, and I know James and SilverlightGirl have a great site out there, so why not jump on this??
Silverlight 2 Data Form - Episode 3: Master/Details and ObservableCollection
Ken Cox has the 3rd video up in his sequence he's working on ... geez, just realized there are 3 posts in this message that are on part 3 :)
Dynamic Loading Expression Media Player Template and passing parameters by code
Tiago Andrade e Silva follows up his previous article by dynamically loading the Expression Media Player template... very cool, Tiago!
Silverlight, Deep Zoom, and ScatterView
Josh Santangelo had asked me a while back about a scatterview, and while he didn't end up using it, he did post back to me on this. Wow... not only a very cool app, but it is for MSN! ... great job on this, Josh! ... keep posting and ping me if I forget to post something.
Silverlight fastfood
John Bruin has a cool demo up of calculating the calories in various McDonalds combinations. I kept hitting the fish sandwich, but finally I 'won' with 3 of the iced drinks. Now if you make it so that the first column is a sandwich, the second a side and the third a drink, then a button to call in the order.... :)
ObservableCollection Base Class With Expression Blend Designer Support – An Example Project
Dean Chalk has a great tutorial up completely detailing out a full-up example of the work laid out in his previous post.
Silverlight Docking and Ribbon controls
Tim Heuer highlights the ribbon control from SanDock. Not only does he have some good info, but comments from others are very good too.
Developing a Casual Game with Siverlight 2 – Part III
Joel Neubeck has his third installment up on the Expression site developing a Casual Game with Silverlight ... you ARE coding along, aren't you??
Master pages in Silverlight, Part III : Dynamically loading content pages
Gerard Leblanc is also on his third installment ... this one is of Master Pages in Silverlight exercise up ... this one is reading page 3 from it's own XAP ...

Stay in the 'Light!
